Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by yantraos.com.
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Scope
This policy applies to yantraos.com and web interfaces that link to it. It does not describe local storage or files created by the YantraOS software on your computer.
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser. Similar technologies can include browser storage, pixels, and security tokens. They can be session-based or persist for a limited period.
Technologies we use
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile signals and tokens | Help distinguish legitimate form submissions from automated abuse. | As needed for the security check and Cloudflare's configuration. |
| Vercel Speed Insights beacon | Provides aggregate performance measurements without an analytics cookie. | Request-level processing. |
| Consent choice cookie (yos-consent) | Remembers your analytics consent choice and, after you accept, a random visitor identifier. Essential; set only when you make a choice. | 12 months. |
| Soul companion preferences (soul-visits, soul-session-greeted) | Functional browser storage that lets the on-page companion vary its greeting across visits. A simple counter kept only on your device; never transmitted, and contains no identifier. | soul-visits: until you clear site data; soul-session-greeted: current session. |
| Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) | With your consent only: usage measurement across pages and sessions. | Up to 2 years. |
| Microsoft Clarity cookies (_clck, _clsk) | With your consent only: session analytics and interaction insights. | Up to 1 year (_clck); 1 day (_clsk). |
Essential cookies
Turnstile is used to protect public forms from automated abuse. Disabling its required technology can prevent a protected form from working. The yos-consent cookie stores your consent choice itself and is required for that choice to persist. Vercel Speed Insights provides aggregate performance measurements without setting an analytics cookie.
Essential technologies do not require consent. Non-essential analytics cookies are used only after you accept them, as described below.
Analytics cookies (used only with consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Neither service loads, sets cookies, nor processes usage data unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the consent banner. If you decline, the site works normally without them.
When enabled with your consent, these services process usage events such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived by the provider, and device and browser characteristics. See the Subprocessors Disclosure for each provider's role.
You can withdraw consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the page footer. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent: it stops the services on your next page load and removes their first-party cookies from this site. You can also clear them in your browser.
Your consent record
To meet the consent obligations of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we keep a consent log when you accept analytics or later withdraw that consent. The record contains a random visitor identifier, the choice made, the consent categories, the policy version, the time, and — only if you are signed in — your account identifier. We do not store your IP address or browser details in this record.
Declining analytics is stored only in your browser cookie; no server record is created. Consent records are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance. To exercise data rights over your consent record, contact privacy@yantraos.com.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Browser controls differ by browser and device. Blocking essential technologies can stop you from submitting a protected form.
Analytics runs only after you accept it in the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the page footer. Your browser's privacy controls may also let you limit certain tracking technologies.
Third parties
Cloudflare provides Turnstile and network delivery. Google provides Google Analytics and Microsoft provides Clarity; both run only with your consent. Each provider's use of cookies or similar technology is also governed by its own documentation and policies. See our Subprocessors Disclosure for provider roles in the Service.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when our website technologies change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page. Questions can be sent to privacy@yantraos.com.
