YantraOS core source
The public YantraOS core source repository is published under the MIT License, copyright 2026 Euryale Ferox Private Limited. The source, full license text, and repository notices are available at github.com/AIYantra/YantraOS.
The MIT License applies to the source identified under that license. It grants broad rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and sell the covered software, subject to retaining the copyright and permission notice.

Model attribution
SOUL, the local intelligence in YantraOS, is a locally configured Qwen3-8B, published by Alibaba Cloud under the Apache License, Version 2.0.
YantraOS does not host or redistribute the model weights. They are downloaded onto your own machine during setup by a local Ollama runtime (MIT License, Copyright © Ollama), which YantraOS installs through the distribution package manager rather than redistributing.
“SOUL” is the YantraOS product name for this locally configured model and does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, Alibaba Cloud.
License scope
Open-source licenses apply only to the components covered by them. They do not grant a license to YantraOS trademarks, logos, website content, hosted services, or any separately identified proprietary component. Third-party and transitive dependencies remain subject to their own notices and license terms.
This public page is a high-level attribution for the current website runtime. A released operating-system image can include additional packages and notices; the applicable distribution and source repository are the authoritative location for those component-level notices.
